Sacramento Healthy HeARTS & Minds

Sacramento Healthy HeARTs and Minds focuses on using the arts as a strategy to address mental health issues, trauma, absenteeism, and other well-documented effects of the COVID- 19 pandemic on already at-risk youth.

Within each of these school sites, trained artists and community partners will collaborate to be a positive adult presence for students, and as needed, connect students in need of mental health support services through existing referral pathways and service providers.

Mentor and Artists MIXers

Sacramento County Office of Education, My Brother’s Keeper Sacramento and MENTOR California invite you to join us for our Artist and Mentor MIXer! We desire to create a space for mentors and artists to come together to build a community of support for our youth. We know that our young people need adult protective relationships like formalized mentoring to succeed. Combining mentors and artists will create places for young people to grow, and share their experiences through the Arts. These mentoring relationships are an integral part of mental wellness and youth success in our community. The MIX will serve as a way to continue to feed this vital community.

Save the dates to our future Mixers and please bring a friend, the more the merrier.
